Out of Hours

Please note that these hours are a guide only. Holidays, sickness, meetings and a volume of work may cause minor alterations to be made to these hours. You will see from the above that we offer late sessions (up to 6.00pm in some cases) for patients who find it difficult to attend in the daytime. The Tuesday afternoon sessions were specifically established for this purpose.

If you are ill and need medical care during the out-of-hours period when the surgery is closed, call NHS 24 on 111. If you phone the practice out of hours you will hear a message asking you to call NHS 24. on the freephone number : 111

An experienced NHS 24 nurse will assess your symptoms and provide advice to help you look after yourself at home. If you need further assessment or treatment, either from a GP or at a local hospital, NHS 24's nurse will arrange this for you with existing local services.

In order for the nurse to carry out an accurate assessment you will be asked for the following information:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • GP's name
  • Any medication you may be taking

During normal daytime surgery hours, you should still contact your own GP for urgent medical help or a routine appointment.

IN SERIOUS EMERGENCIES AT ANY TIME DIAL 999 AND ASK FOR AN AMBULANCE.

Extended Hours

The doctors do extended hours on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening to provide later appointments in the evening which may be more convenient for patients. Please note that there will be no reception or nurse facilities available during this surgery.
